Pre-3 Graduation!

Two weeks ago Alex had his preschool graduation and let me tell you, it was rough on me. I watched him run up to his teacher to get his "certificate" and all I could think of was how in 14 years he will be graduating from high school. Of course Ian thinks I'm just completely crazy!! Maybe I am but I just feel like my little man is growing up waaaayyyy too fast. He's going to be 4 in a couple weeks and I'm just in shock on how fast time as flown by. Here are some pics for his class party on the last day of school. Doesn't he look so grown up??

Here's Alex getting his preschool certificate for his teacher Mrs. May.Here's Alex with his other teacher Mrs. D

The teachers were always nice enough to make a spot for Riley at the table at all the class parties!Alex with his "boy" friends in his class.
This the little girl that Alex had a huge crush on this year. He talked about her everyday!!

Is It Bath Time or Potty Time?

Does it seem like every time you put the kids in the bath tub they immediately have to get out to use the potty? I even make my kids go to the bathroom first before getting into the tub and we still have at least one of them that ends up having to get out mid-bathe to use the potty again. The other day the kids were in our big bathtub (which is a special treat for them) and Riley had to go, umm,.... poop. So of course she was covered in bubbles while I got her out of the tub to put her on the toilet. It made for a good picture though.

What???? I Work!!

Today after picking Alex up from VBS(vacation bible school) him and Riley were in the pack seat talking like usual. Alex started to tell Riley all the things he was going to do when he got "bigger" like daddy. This how the conversation went.
Alex: " Riley when I get bigger, I'm not going to wear my shirt like daddy."
Riley: "OOOHH!"
Alex: " When I get bigger I'm going to go to work like daddy."
Riley: "Can I go to work with you?"
Alex: No, Riley! Your not a boy, your a girl. Girls don't work only boys go to work.
Riley: (starting to cry) "I want to be a boy when I get bigger"
Where did I go wrong?? How on earth can they possibly think that I don't work?? All I do is work. I may not actually leave the house like Ian does but they don't even "see" him work and they know he does so how could they not think that "girls" work? I guess I "really" need to work on this. Yet again, more "work" for "me" to do!!

Yogurt Party!!

Last week we had a "yogurt party". My father in law bought 10 different flavors of yogurt and after dinner we had fun trying all the different ones. Our plates were so pretty looking with all the different colored yogurts. Some flavors tried were: key lime pie, chocolate ( my fav) passion fruit, peaches and cream, mango and some others. The kids had fun trying all the yummy yogurts.

Alex loved the peaches and cream yogurt the best!
Riley DID NOT like the mango yogurt! (neither did I)

Even Evan joined in on the party! He got to taste some vanilla yogurt that we mixed with his oatmeal. As you can see, HE LOVED IT!!!

Random!

Here are some random pictures that I really like but don't really have a story to tell with them. Hope you enjoy! Have Fun!!

Evan eating his veggies like a good boy!
They are the best of friends!
Alex couldn't wait for me to finish washing dishes to open his tunnel so he just started playing with it "as is". It was just as much fun!
Whenever Evan sits in this seat he always keeps his arms up in the air. Its as though he doesn't know that he can put them down. It makes my arms ache just watching him.
Here's Evan sitting at the dinner table with us for the first time. He looks like such a big boy. I think I'll keep him in the high chair. I'm not ready for him to grow up! =(

It's Beach Time!!

Ian and I are big beach fans. We'd go everyday if we could and now that we have kids its even more fun. Although its not quite as easy to just get up and go we still try to go once a week during the summer months. We went for the first time this season back on April 11th and it was exciting b/c it was Evan's first time. I took a TON of pictures of the kids playing in the COLD water and wanted to share some of them with you all. Have fun!!

I love this picture of the two of them. How sweet!

Alex's lower lip was shaking, he was so cold, but he still wouldn't get out of that water. He was having so much fun!

Here's Evan putting his feet in the ocean for the first time! He was more interested in what Alex was doing in the sand.

Riley dancing down the beach. She MUST take after her dad!

I'm sure that we have a lot more pictures to post of us at the beach this summer. You are all more than welcome to join us sometime. Have Fun!!

Junior Museum

Back in the beginning of April we took the kids to the Junior Museum during Alex's spring break. Here are some pictures from our day.

Here's Riley with her life jacket on the little boat they have there. She wore that the entire time she was on the boat. At least we know that if we take her out on a real boat she won't have a problem wearing it.

I guess we need to tell Alex that the best way to fish is by putting the fishing pole IN the water not in the boat. Oh, well!

Here's Evan riding on the dinosaur. Doesn't he look like he's having a blast? She was a shopping fool!!

He played with this exhibit for such a long time, I thought we would never get him away.
She wanted to take "Him" home with her. Great! I have a feeling she's going to be just like my little sister who use to torture me by throwing frogs and llizards on me when we were little. I don't think I can go through that again!! LOL!
